The Sweet Complex - Sense(s) of Sweetness

The conference will focus on the multisensory experiences of eating and drinking where the "sweet" holds a special place. Sweetness, apart from being culturally constructed, is connected with the nature of the food, sensory capacities of the subject and his/her environment. Czech, Norwegian and American notions connected with the sweet, its socio-cultural as well as political and personal aspects will be discussed
